Come on a trip to the Middle Ages of the 13th century and immerse yourself in the interesting world of knights! The experienced castle guides tell a lot of information about the former toll station and the seat of the Salzburg archbishops. The imposing tower and experience the everyday life of the old Mautburg hundreds of years ago. Especially for families, the family castle Mauterndorf has much to offer. With the Riddle Rally the children discover the castle in a playful way. Audio equipment designed specifically for children explains the story in a particularly interesting way. At the Ritterspielplatz, children can let off steam while climbing and adults enjoy the view from the terrace of the castle tavern.

The "Mariapfarrer Dampferl" - the famous nostalgic train in the holiday region Lungau runs in the summer season (until the end of October) every Tuesday and Thursday at 14:00 and 15:15. Registration and meeting point at the tourist office Mariapfarr.
